How Fast Is Naruto? (In All of His Modes)
Power in the shōnen genre of manga or anime is always diverse, impressive, and, most of the time, extremely out of real-life parameters. The Naruto series takes this on the whole another level. Throughout the series, fans were impressed and shocked by how the protagonists’ Naruto and Sasuke, became strong, especially after gaining the Sage of Six Paths chakra. They were literal gods of shinobi, and particularly Naruto became the strongest ninja in the world. In this article, we will discuss one power category, Naruto’s speed in all his modes.
Naruto is the fastest in the Bayron Mode in the Boruto series when Naruto and Kurama fused their chakras and essentially awakened their true power. The fight against Isshiki proved that Bayron Mode Naruto was insanely fast. Still, other modes/transformations made Naruto extremely fast, and fights against Third Raikage, Fourth Raikage, the Ōtsutsuki clan members, and Ten-Tails Madara Uchiha prove that maybe Naruto isn’t the fastest ever, but is pretty close to that feat.
We will discuss this topic by mentioning moments in the Naruto and Boruto series where Naruto used different modes and presented us with his incredible speed in combat. Moreover, we will compare Naruto’s speed to other characters and conclude this article with our answer. However, we won’t use real-life physics and determine Naruto’s speed in numbers – Kishimoto’s Ninja World does not use real-life science in shape or any form.
How fast is Naruto (all KC Modes)
Before we start comparing and analyzing Naruto’s speed, we need to establish some rules. We won’t use real-life science and physics to establish how fast Naruto can go because it doesn’t make any sense. In other words, Naruto Universe is far from realistic when we discuss powers – Naruto is literally moving the Moon in The Last: Naruto Movie, which is completely canon.
Naruto, Sasuke, and their antagonists also became overpowered, especially Ten-Tails Madara Uchiha and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, who totally changed how we “rank” the power levels between the characters. We will use what we know from the series and compare Naruto to other characters in each Kyuubi mode.
Tailed Beast Mode (Basic)
When Naruto was sent to Fall of Truth just before the Fourth Shinobi World War, the Gutsy Ninja was supposed to learn to train the Kyuubi inside of him. With the help of Killer B, Naruto achieved control of the Kyuubi chakra, which allowed him to transform into Tailed Beast Mode, considered the basic transformation. Naruto gained enhanced abilities like better strength, stronger jutsu, and speed. Despite the risks of Kyuubi taking over Naruto’s chakra and killing him, Naruto was really powerful when he used the Nine-Tailed Beast chakra and got faster massively.
When he transformed into Tailed Beast Mode, Naruto was able to outmatch Kisame with his speed and later outpace Fourth Raikage. This moment is a huge feat for Naruto since A was considered the fastest-living shinobi. After finally joining the Allied Shinobi Forces, Naruto met Edo-Tensei Third Raikage, considered the fastest shinobi alive, with Minato Namikaze being the only one matching his speed.
Of course, Third Raikage was still faster, and Naruto managed to trick older A into injuring himself. So yes, Tailed Beast Chakra Mode Naruto can outpace Fourth Raikage and match the Edo-Tensei Third Raikage’s speed.
Kurama Mode
Later, during the Fourth Shinobi World War, Naruto befriended Kyuubi, named Kurama, and unlocked the Kurama Mode transformation. Naruto’s abilities enhanced even more, but his speed became more impressive. His speed is presented during his fight against Ten-Tailed Beast.
Naruto is shown escaping Ten-Tail tentacles and attacking Obito with Tailed Beast Balls and fast attacks that give some problems to Obito. This mode is significant since Naruto used it to share his chakra with other shinobi, but it’s evident that with other abilities, Naruto’s speed got upgraded as well. Naruto uses upgraded Kurama Mode in Boruto series against Momoshiki, and his speed is on par with a god-like member of the ancient Ōtsutsuki clan. Of course, this is in his adulthood, which means that Naruto got vastly stronger as the years went by.
Tailed Beast Mode with Minato (Upgraded)
The upgraded version of the Tailed Beast Mode implies the fusion of Yin and Yan Kyuubi chakras – in other words, Minato fused his Nine-Tails Chakra with Naruto’s. The upgraded version of the Tailed Beast Mode is understandably more powerful for the bearer, and we see Minato and his son wreaking havoc in the battle against Madara Uchiha. However, it seems that even in that mode, Naruto isn’t faster than the Uchiha or Might Guy, who opened all Eight Gates.
Even Madara Uchiha recognized Guy’s speed, which is a remarkable feat.
Six Paths Sage Mode
Naruto Shippuden presented us with extraordinary powers, and boy did Naruto and Sasuke become powerhouses after this event. Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, son of goddess Kaguya, got a cameo during the battle and lent his powers, or Six Paths senjutsu, to Naruto and Sasuke. The duo became god-like creatures without any exaggeration whatsoever.
Black Zetsu betrayed Madara by letting Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, a goddess revive Uchiha’s body. When she awakened, she was almost unstoppable, but Six Paths Senjutsu powered Sasuke and Naruto made the battle much more enjoyable.
Especially Naruto, who combined Nine-Tails chakra with Six Paths senjutsu, became faster than light. He literally outpaced and caught off guard the goddess of Shinobi World, Kaguya, and used that speed to ultimately defeat her (teamwork helped as well). Naruto officially became the fastest shinobi alive, even more than his father, which is one of his most impressive feats.
Baryon Mode (Boruto series)
Finally, we have Bayron Mode, the final form transformation of Naruto. This transformation is undoubtedly the strongest form Naruto ever reached, surpassing anything he achieved during Fourth Shinobi World War. During his fight against Isshiki Ōtsutsuki, Kurama and Naruto fused their chakras and created the ultimate transformation called the Bayron Mode.
Six Paths senjutsu, Naruto’s natural power of chakra, and Kurama’s Tailed Beast chakra fused made Naruto the strongest shinobi ever. Isshiki is one of the most powerful opponents Naruto faced. In his true form, the Ōtsutsuki is faster than Naruto in Six Paths Sage Mode, which is an immense feat, but in Bayron Mode, Naruto was able to match the speed of the god-like powered shinobi.
Because it exhausted Kurama and his chakra, Naruto couldn’t maintain that mode for long, which resulted in one of the saddest moments in Boruto, but showcased how powers in Naruto can reach unimaginable heights.
Bayron Mode Naruto is as fast as Kaguya and her “cousins,” which makes him the fastest shinobi alive and the one that bears the speed of god.
Is Naruto the fastest individual among the shinobi in the series?
After further analysis, Naruto is the strongest and fastest shinobi in the Naruto series. His journey from barely graduating from the Academy and learning new jutsu to essentially becoming the god amongst the men. This isn’t an exaggeration; Naruto surpassed the likes of Hashirama and Madara, which was absolutely impossible, and managed to outmatch his own father in speed, the Yellow Flash himself.
Six Paths Kurama Mode Naruto is insane, but Bayron Mode Naruto is the strongest and most capable living shinobi ever, which is by itself an insane feat. As you can see from the article, we didn’t use any science or physics formula to determine Naruto’s speed because that feat is impossible and something that can happen only in fiction.
He can occasionally outmatch or outpace Kaguya, but the goddess is still the fastest and strongest being we saw in the Naruto series. In conclusion, Naruto is extremely fast in every mode, which is an incredible feat.
