Petra Kolak is a writer based in Zagreb, Croatia. She has a bachelor's degree in Film and Theatre Production from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. Petra has a lot of experience in Film and Theatre production, which gives her a different perspective when she is writing about all the topics she enjoys. Seeing the entire filmmaking process from the initial idea that later turns into a script, all the way to filming, and finally editing the movie. One of the projects she worked on during her studies was a short animated film. This was one of the first times she saw how difficult the entire animation process can be, even with today's technology. She remembers watching anime at a young age, she didn't understand what drew her to this animation style, but some of the gateways were Sailor Moon and Yu-Gi-Oh! After the initial introduction, the next anime she watched was Spirited Away, which is her favorite animated movie to this day. Studio Ghibli was a significant turning point in her love of anime. After that, she started watching all kinds of different anime series. Some very popular ones like Death Note, Naruto, and Attack on Titan, but also some less popular anime like Elfen Lied, 91 Days, and Sankarea: Undying Love.
